About Train the Painter

Train the Painter is an internationally recognised training programme which is accredited and approved by Lloyds Register.

The Marine Coating Application course has been developed by coating experts at Corrodere Academy. This was in response to the strong demand for certification within the Industrial Coatings industry that now requires personnel working within the Road, Rail, Renewables, and Oil and Gas industries to obtain professional specified certificates.

Course Overview

Marine Coating Applicators face many challenges not encountered in other environments. It is therefore essential that the coatings are applied correctly, and the surface preparation is in accordance with both regulations and the coating suppliers recommendations. The Marine Coating Application course was developed to deliver key skills and knowledge required when working in this specialised and demanding sector.

• On board and ballast tank maintenance
• Marine coating systems and dry docking
• How to prepare and line a tank

Course Pre-Requisites

In order to complete the Train the Painter Marine Coating Applicator module, delegates must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Obtain a Train the Painter Bronze card or equivalent
