PSI Global Expands Industrial Services Team

PSI Global Specialist Recruitment Expands Industrial Services Team

PSI Global Specialist Recruitment’s Industrial Services team has had exciting growth in the last six months thanks to new hires, internal promotions, expanded office presence, and taking part in a local apprenticeship programme.

The growth of the team means more opportunities to take on different tasks and projects with clients. Group Business Development Director Lee Austin, who overlooks the Industrial Services team, shared that, “A growing Industrial Services team will help us to have more of a market share and become more of a recruitment partner than a standard recruitment agency. We’re getting involved with our clients more so than we have in the past, such as our growth and expansion into Plymouth.”

A key component of the expansion within the industrial services recruitment team comes from an internal promotion for Rebecca Law. Law has been with PSI Global since 2019, starting as a Senior Recruitment Consultant, followed by Industrial Services Manager, and recently received a promotion to Divisional Manager.

She has been a dedicated professional in the construction recruitment field since 2013 and is looking forward to leading her new team, saying “I am extremely grateful to be able to lead a team of such talented individuals and very excited for all of our upcoming projects here at PSI Global.”

Austin shared that Law’s promotions and growth within the team have been a natural progression for Law during her time with PSI Global.

New Hires at PSI Global

The latest hire for PSI Global’s Industrial Services team is Megan Parr. Parr joins the company through an apprenticeship programme which aims to give young professionals in the local area a foot in the door to their chosen profession. Parr is one of three apprentices to join PSI Global in 2021 in a recruitment resourcer capacity.

The opportunity to work in the industrial services team is one that Parr is eager to get started with, sharing that “working with the industrial services team has been extremely exciting. Meeting these wonderful people and building relationships is one of the best parts about this team. I look most forward to learning more new things and improving my current skills.”

Divisional Manager Rebecca Law has commented how well Parr has settled into the team so far. “She’s very efficient, proactive, and is already showing initiative. Megan is a quick learner and is already picking up things well in the team. It’s great to have her on board and we’re looking forward to seeing her grow within the team.”

While Law and Parr are based at PSI Global’s head office in Liverpool, the team is continuing to expand in new markets across the UK.

PSI Global’s Plymouth Expansion

PSI Global started the year by expanding into Plymouth with new hire Yasmin Lobb taking the lead. Lobb joined PSI Global in January with nine years of account management experience. Since joining the company, has had the opportunity to work on multiple projects while helping to support her local community.

“Being from Plymouth myself I have really enjoyed getting involved with my local community and engaging with schemes to help get my local community back into work,” said Lobb. “Despite the rest of the team being up in Liverpool, they’ve been very involved and helpful in our Plymouth operations, helping to fill jobs and with compliance when needed. Thanks to our regular team catch-ups, it’s as if they’re just in the office next door!”

Having a presence in Plymouth has been a huge success for PSI Global. Lobb noted how that presence has helped to put the right candidate in the right job for our clients and has allowed existing employees in Plymouth to have an in-person point of contact.

Having that point of contact available in Plymouth has not only been beneficial for PSI Global’s clients and candidates, but Lobb herself has swiftly found herself fitting well into the business.

“Yasmin has embedded really well into the team and the culture of the business,” explained Law who is Lobb’s direct manager. “She’s efficient, shows initiative, is a quick learner, and very proactive. We’ve had some amazing feedback from her clients, which goes to show how high her standard of work and work ethic are.”

Looking Forward

While the growth in the team has been exciting, it’s also been necessary for the number of projects on the table for 2021 and beyond. This also allows the company to continue offering more services to their current clients.

“We’re hopeful the growth in our team will allow us to engage with more marine projects and get involved in projects such as Hinkley Point,” said Austin of the team’s outlook for the future.
