• Local Employment: Many clients have contractual obligations from the local council regarding the employment of local labour. We help to achieve this by sourcing candidates within a 30-mile radius of the site. Maintaining relationships with local labour throughout the UK helps to build a consistent workforce from day one to handover.
• Site Presence: An experienced team member will be on-site for you and our workforce. They’ll liaise with your team to identify and understand your requirements, broker all hires and un-hires with PSI Global, complete timesheets, run inductions and toolbox talks, enforce health & safety, supply/maintain PPE, and validate right to work and CSCS/CPCS cards.
• Training: We have access to local training providers nationwide and can provide additional training to under-skilled operatives. Committed and loyal operatives receive assistance in maintaining their current cards as the site progresses.
• Local Councils: We’ll work alongside you with the local council to maintain smooth relationships in the political arena. To build on this, our team will attend unemployment open days, discuss local opportunities, and meet council representatives with you prior to the project starting to help maintain smooth operations.
• Unions: We’ve previously worked with most of the trade unions in the UK. This allows us to manage a smooth working relationship between our clients and the union, holding talks with the unions prior to start on-site and working together throughout.
• Employment Hubs: We act as a middleman for your local council’s employment hub to filter the candidates they supply, providing you with better options. Building a relationship with the council helps us to remove unsuitable candidates and help you source suitable candidates through the hub, helping to achieve the councils KPI’s for local labour employment.
