About Train the Painter

Train the Painter is an internationally recognised training programme which is accredited and approved by Lloyds Register.

The Spray Painter course has been developed by coating experts at Corrodere Academy. This was in response to the strong demand for certification within the Industrial Coatings industry that now requires personnel working within the Road, Rail, Renewables, and Oil and Gas industries to obtain professional specified certificates.

Train the Painter has three modules including…

• Protective Coatings Applicator
• Abrasive Blast Cleaner
• Spray Painter

Course Overview

Spray Painter is a module of the Train the Painter programme which can be completed to obtain a Silver or Gold card.

This two-day course is the perfect follow on from the Protective Coating Applicator course. It takes the fundamental key skills you have learned and builds on them, furthering your knowledge and increasing your employability in this expanding industry. Through taking this course, you are not only upskilling but opening yourself up to a new career path specialising in both professional airless and conventional spray painting.

The course can either be delivered in our classroom or through the blended learning model. Blended learning is delivered as a combination of e-learning and practical training. Delegates will complete the e-learning elements of the course remotely from a smartphone, desktop computer, laptop or tablet prior to the 1-day practical training which is delivered at PSI Global Training’s training centre.

PLEASE NOTE: Delegates must have access to a device and an internet connection to complete the e-learning elements of the course. Upon booking delegates will be registered for the e-learning elements of the course which must be successfully completed prior to attending the practical training sessions.

Course Pre-Requisites

• In order to complete the Train the Painter – Spray Painter module, delegates must:
• Be at least 18 years old
• If students hold less than 1,600 hours of experience – an Orange Trainee CSCS card will be issued
• If students hold more the 1,600 hours of experience – a Silver ‘Spray Painter’ card will be issued
