August 2024 Update: New Happenings at PSI Global

New projects, new systems, new team members, and a new office on the way. We’ve had a very productive August with a lot more on the way for PSI Global Group in the next month.

In last month’s update I shared that we had a new payroll system ready to go live in August. We’ve had a successful initial launch with the system which will help to streamline our payroll process, making it more robust. The team will continue to build on the system in the coming months with bespoke set ups tailored to how our clients want the timesheet process set up between us.

Our Industrial Services team have had a busy month of site visits and events. Yasmin from our Plymouth office attended a charity event sponsored by our client Denholm Industrial Services. The event raised over £10,000 for the Primrose Foundation, and PSI were pleased to take part by donating a prize for the raffle that helped to raise the funds. The team is also expanding into Europe with new Account Manager Katy Andrei, based in Romania, joining the team at the start of the month.

A new team member and new projects in Europe means work there continues to thrive, starting with two new data centres in Amsterdam, a 12-month project supplying a full mechanical installation. A similar project has also started in Frankfurt over the last month, and two new projects have been awarded in Sweden and Finland which will start in the next two months. We’re looking forward to the continued growth in this area as we start these new projects, and to help with this growth in Europe is our new Account Manager Ashling O’Sullivan who will be working on our EU projects.

Here in the UK, the Major Projects team have continued to have a busy and productive month. They started on a South West Water job in Cornwall, something we’ll be recruiting for in the near future if you’re a Groundworker, Slinger, or Plant Operator looking for work in the coming months. James, Liam, and Leanne have also had Groundworkers closing out the M621 job, a Groundworks Gang starting on the M1 in Northamptonshire, and Steel Fixers starting in Central London. The team is continuously recruiting for more Shuttering Joiners on-site for HS2 Viaducts in Solihull, more Groundworks Gangs on the M1 and M5, and are interested in speaking with different subcontractors for work on the Severn Trent Water job near Nottingham.

Things are starting to pick up for our White-Collar team on HS2 as well, with the team supplying labour on the A429 Kenilworth Road site in Coventry and actively looking for Site and Section Engineers with Civils experience in the Midlands. They also have some new starters on the M&E side of things, working on hyper scale data centres across Ireland and Europe. If you’re interested in any work or would like to register your details for future considering, connect with and send your CV over to Jac and Jessica now.

Members of our Social Values team attended an employment day at HMP Lancaster Farms to speak to those coming up to release and those that are interested in future work in our industry. The day allowed our team members to share advice about upcoming work and training opportunities available, advice that will hopefully ensure they’re in the best position possible to gain employment once they get home.

Finally, though I’ll have more to share in next month’s update, I wanted to share that our continued growth means it’s time for a new home. In September the team at PSI Global in Liverpool will be moving into our new office in Prescot. This is an exciting time of growth for the company, and with the new office means more potential for that growth to continue into the future. Stay tuned to our social media channels to find out more on the big move!
