What's Happening at PSI Global: July 2024

After months of testing and weeks of getting everything up to date, our Admin Team have our new payroll system due to go live at the beginning of August. The new system will help to streamline our payroll systems, making things easier for both our clients and candidates. We’re looking forward to getting this system rolled out as we continue to move forward as a company, supporting our clients and candidates through each step.

Work in Europe continues to grow for our team as work has started on a new hyper scale data centre in Amsterdam and Frankfurt. Both projects are full mechanical installations, consisting of 30 Fitters and three Supervisors. The projects are running alongside our current commitments on other projects in these areas, as well as starting phase two of another hyper scale data centre in Malmo which has had an increase in labour.

Back in the UK, the Construction and Engineering team have started a mechanical installation in Oxford and Telford, both of which are large Industrial and Pharma builds. For this work in the   UK, as well as in Ireland and mainland Europe, the team are always looking for more Electricians, Pipe Fitters, Managers, Supervisors, HVAC, EC&I, Logistics Managers, and GO’s. If you’re interested in any of these roles in the UK or Europe, you can get in touch with team members Tom or Luke now to register your details.

Our Major Projects team have had two jobs in the North West that are continuing to grow, and they’re now looking for Groundworkers in Preston and Liverpool for these projects. The job requires you have your own transport and Dumper ticket, so if you have those and are looking for work, contact James now to apply. The team are also looking for Slingers for HS2 in Solihull as that project progresses, as well as a ready-made three-man Groundworks Gangs for work with JN Bentley in the Midlands. James or Liam can assist in providing more information on these roles if you’re interested.

The Industrial Services team have had a busy month with a number of site visits. Katie from our Liverpool office visited our site in Belfast and got to see first-hand the work that is happening on-site. It gave her a good overview of the work going on as she continues to look for Scaffolders to start work ASAP. Rebecca and Kelsey visited our site in Cumbria, where they’re currently looking for Industrial Painters, Blasters, or Sprayers for work. The team are also looking for Scaffolders (SC Cleared) for work in the Glasgow area. If you have any experience in Industrial Painting or Scaffolding, get in touch with the team now to submit your information.

PSI Global Training have had another group of Trainees go through our programme and are all settling into work well. Our dedicated trainer will be visiting site regularly to log their experience as they work towards reaching their required hours to achieve their Bronze card. We’re looking forward to hearing more about their successes in the future! If your company is interested in taking part in a similar scheme to bring Trainee Industrial Painters on-site, contact Rebecca to learn more.

Sarah from our Social Values team has met with a training company who provide training across prisons and probation services across the UK. They discussed how we can work with them to provide training and employment opportunities for those leaving the prison system, setting them up with the skills and opportunities needed to move forward with their lives. Members of our Social Values team have also met a mental health charity to discuss more ways in which we could help our candidates on-site, continuing our promise to support the mental health of our workforce in whatever way we can. We also discussed with the charity how our own team members can help them raise funds to support the work they do across the UK. We’ll be sharing out more tomorrow, so keep an eye on our social media channels to learn more.
