The leadership team at PSI Global Recruitment has introduced a new programme to recognise our valued team members who go the extra mile for our clients and candidates, putting them first each step of the way. Our first winner for June is Yasmin Lobb, our Service Delivery Consultant in Plymouth.
She received the exciting news after coming back from a well-deserved holiday, “I am really pleased to have won this. I really didn’t expect it and it was lovely news to come back to after my time off!”
Yasmin started at PSI Global in January 2021 and is based in our Plymouth office. She’s part of our Industrial Services team, regularly recruiting and managing our workers on-site for multiple projects in the area. Being from Plymouth herself, helping people in her local community back into work, especially during the pandemic, has been a very rewarding experience for her.
Naturally a motivated person, it’s important to Yasmin that she gives her all to the team she’s a part of, “I feel that if I am doing my job to the best of my ability, it also helps the rest of the team to be able to do their jobs easier. We are all little pieces of one big puzzle.”
She explained that every day she gives 110%, and even if the workday is a stressful one, a good walk always helps to clear her head, “Always remember that tomorrow is a new day!”
Whether they’re applying for a job, working on-site, or completing their time on the project, our workers have always been Yasmin’s number one priority. “I feel it is so important to make sure that the workers on-site are happy and have as minimum issues as possible, whether that is with access to the site or pay,” explained Yasmin. “I always have regular communication with them and feel that they are all aware that I am always at the end of the phone to help them.”
Yasmin has several projects coming up, all focused on getting her community back to work with four planned inductions in the coming months.
Being a piece of the puzzle and an important part of the team was what led Yasmin’s manager, Rebecca Law, to submit a nomination for Yasmin. Rebecca explained, “Her outstanding work ethic and dedication are what stand out to me. She genuinely cares about each person she puts into work.”
The two have worked together since Yasmin started at PSI Global in January 2021, with Rebecca herself quickly learning from Yasmin that “change happens!”. Rebecca has particularly been impressed with Yasmin’s dedication to her local community in Plymouth, sharing that Yasmin has been heavily involved in local “get back to work schemes” in the area as well as donating to local food banks. “Yasmin really gives back to her local community and is leaving a lasting legacy in the area. She’s done an amazing job!”
Group Business Development Director Lee Austin, who also heads up the Industrial Services team, also shared his enthusiasm about Yasmin’s work since joining PSI Global. “Yasmin has continued to prove her dedication to both our workers at PSI Global as well as her local community in Plymouth. She’s a fantastic representation of our company, living our values day in and day out. I feel that she’s more than deserving to be recognised as our first Going the Extra Mile winner.”
