January Updates From Our Managing Director

We’re off to a great start in 2024 at PSI Global, with new projects, new team members, and new initiatives taking shape already.

Our Construction and Engineering team have kicked off the year with a new project in Madrid and will be starting another new project in Geneva soon. The team have also welcomed new team member Luke Gray as our EU, UK, and MEP Account Manager, and will be joined by a new European M&E Manager in February to support our expansion across Europe. We’re excited to have both on board and see the continued growth from our Construction and Engineering team.

Kate and Leanne from the Major Projects team ended the month with a site visit to the new Sewage Treatment Works project in Nottingham, ensuring our workers have all the PPE they need on-site and organising an EUSR course for them. The Major Projects team have also started work on the HS2 Viaducts in Solihull with a handful of operatives on site. That will increase rapidly in the coming months so the team will be recruiting Shuttering Joiners, CPCS Traffic Marshalls, Slinger/Signallers, and Advanced Scaffolders, so keep an eye on our social media channels if you’re interested.

The Industrial Services team are recruiting a new team member for an exciting on-site role in Portsmouth. We’re looking for an Account Manager to start ASAP, so get in touch with Rebecca or visit our website to apply now if you’re interested. The team’s new presence in Belfast continues to be a success, with our PSI Global Scaffolding division already getting ready for their next intake on-site. The division is also continuing with our commitment to building relationships in the community by making a donation towards jackets for the coaches of Belfast’s Woodvale FC.

Supporting the communities we work in has always been a priority, and we now have a team in place to centralise community support across PSI Global. The Social Value team was launched this month and has started with a primary focus on military and veterans support, rehabilitation support, and mental health support. The first event, Meet the Royal Navy, was attended by Industrial Team Leader Brendan and BD Director Lee in Liverpool. The networking event was organised by the Armed Forces Covenant and provided us an opportunity to connect with other businesses and business leaders who are also undergoing the process to become advocates for veterans and their families. Attending gave us valuable insight into further ways we can support the ex-forces community and allowed us to share our current efforts and future plans to not just business leaders, but also current serving members of the Armed Forces.
