The Latest from PSI Global: March 2024

The team have had a productive March, and are looking forward to a lot of exciting projects and updates as we head into the second quarter of the year.

Our Major Projects team have been busy with site visits this month, with Kate and Leanne taking the time to check in with our clients and workers across the UK, including a stop at the HS2 site in Birmingham. We have several workers out on a new site in Carlisle and will be building up our presence hiring Groundworkers and Traffic Marshalls, so keep an eye on our social media channels and website for upcoming jobs there.

We continue to grow our presence across Europe with a number of large projects. A big focus for the Construction and Engineering team are data centres, with large projects beginning on-site in Malmo, Sweden and Frankfurt, Germany, and upcoming data centre projects in Dublin and the Nordic Region. They also have several large scale industrial and pharma projects coming up in Billingham and Immingham and have started on-site with two large industrial projects in Belfast, which they’re hiring Electricians for. The team are consistently looking for additional mechanical trades for a large pharma project in Cork, so make sure you follow our social media channels and connect with Chris and Luke if you’re interested. In addition to the new and upcoming projects, our C&E team kept busy by attending Data Centre World in London and visited several of their pharma sites in Limerick over the last month.

The PSI Global Training division has partnered with the local Job Centre to offer six people the opportunity for a career in Industrial Painting. Our dedicated instructor Jonathan finished the first week of training with the future painters, and we’ve already had some very positive feedback from everyone taking part.

The Social Value team was created to centralise the work our team members have been doing in various communities, and the team has been busy since starting in January. This month, Brendan and Curtis attended the Gen Dit Network event in Bristol. This gave the two former members of the Royal Navy the opportunity to represent PSI Global, share their own experiences, and give career advice to those who are currently serving and those who have served in the Armed Forces. The Social Value team have also made another prison visit, with Sarah and Leanne visiting HMP Haverigg to discuss employment opportunities for those that are coming up to their release date.

And finally, a big congratulations to Yasmin and Cameron in our Plymouth office who received the Employer of the Year award this month from Seetec Pluss. We’ve been working closely with Seetec Pluss in Plymouth since 2021 to help get more people in the local community back to work, and the team was recognised for their efforts during the Diversity Confident event in Plymouth on 15 March. Well done both!
