Going the Extra Mile - October 2025 Winners

Going the Extra Mile is back! Each month we’re going to be recognising a member of both our recruitment side of the business, as well as the support side of our business. For October, we’re recognising European Account Manager Luke Gray and Marketing Manager Margaret Yekulis.

Luke Gray – European Account Manager

Account Manager Luke was nominated by Operations Coordinator Megan Parr for the hard work he put in over the past month on the Construction and Engineering team’s compliance, ensuring each worker put out met the necessary requirements for each country they were working in.

“Luke deserves recognition for his huge improvement in compliance, which was up 62% this month,” she said. Megan shared that this was the highest improvement out of everyone on the team over the past month.

She added that his progress followed a discussion with our team members around what more we could be doing to enhance everyday tasks. “After our chat, he took the feedback on board, stayed focused, and turned things around quickly, showing real dedication and accountability. Luke shows our values in growth and teamwork, he’s taken responsibility and focused on getting better, which has really boosted his performance over the last month.”

Luke answered a few questions for us about working at PSI Global.

What motivates you at work?
I’m motivated by opportunities to solve challenges that make a real impact for our clients.

What is the most interesting project you’ve worked on so far at PSI?

The most interesting projects have been the projects we have worked on across the Nordics. In Sweden specifically, I have been working closely with our clients to upskill our operatives on-site.

How has your role evolved and what do you enjoy the most about it?

My role has grown from focusing on managing accounts to developing and managing my own accounts. I also really enjoy speaking with clients and developing new business opportunities.

What are your upcoming goals or projects you’re working on?

Right now, I’m focusing on developing existing and new client relationships across Europe. I’m also currently working on projects in Norway and Finland.

Margaret Yekulis – Marketing Manager

Long-time employee Margaret was nominated by Business Development Director Lee Austin for the successful presence we’ve been building online since our rebranding. Over the last month, Lee has shared that Margaret “knocked it out of the park with our marketing efforts”, citing some positive interactions we’ve had off the back of some of our social media posts.

Margaret also shared her feedback about working at PSI Global.

What motivates you at work?

I’ve worked in several different sectors over the years, but recruitment really is all about finding people new opportunities. Every job you share out could mean someone getting back to work, or sharing new opportunities through our Training division could mean a new career path for someone.

What is the most interesting project you’ve worked on so far at PSI?

Definitely working alongside our web agency (Cyberfrog Design, based in Liverpool) to build our websites. My career has previously focused on social media and content creation (creative and technical/SEO), so getting to work on these projects was a great learning experience for me to continue progressing in my career.

How has your role evolved and what do you enjoy the most about it?

My remit has been roughly the same throughout my time here, but the thing I enjoy the most about working in digital marketing is how that in and of itself evolves. What my priorities at PSI Global were five years ago versus now are different. That’s always been a constant throughout my career, regardless of sector or location. Having full control of the marketing department, however, has allowed me to take more initiatives and try a bit more testing and learning, something that wasn’t always possible when working in a large marketing team.

What are your upcoming goals, projects you’re working on?

One of my own personal-professional goals at the minute centres around AI. Is AI new? No. Is the way we use it as marketers new and quickly evolving? Yes. And it’s something that I’ve been trying to learn more around and more about. How can we use it not only successfully but correctly and ethically.

As far as other areas within marketing at PSI Global, stay tuned as we give this very website a little refresh in the coming months!

Each winner of our Going the Extra Mile programme gets a £50 voucher of their choice, as well as a £50 donation to the charity of their choice. This month, both Margaret and Luke chose to send their donations to the Dogs Trust.

Stay tuned to learn more about our winners for November!
