July Updates from our Managing Director

Things may slow down for some companies over the summer months, but here at PSI Global, we’re continuing to see a steady stream of jobs coming through, as well as new projects and initiatives.

As we continue to expand into Europe, we have now brought on board a new director in Ireland. We’re pleased to welcome Darragh Jennings as our new European Director. Darragh comes as a well-established recruiter in the European market with a vast amount of experience. We look forward to working with him and seeing what he can bring to the team.

Continuing with our work in Europe, we have some exciting projects coming up in Holland following a meeting I had with RBC Nederland this month. The first project is starting now, with a second in October and a third starting in February/March 2024. The project involves working on a Petro-Chemical site, doing mainly Firewatch/Manhole Guard duties, though we may be looking to deploy Confined Space Rescue teams as well. Internally, our admin team are in the testing phase of our new payroll system, something that will, in the long term, benefit our candidates and clients by allowing them to submit hours through the portal. We’ll have more updates as we get closer to the launch date, but it’s another example of how we’re continually moving forward with the help of new technology.

We’ve also just achieved three different ISO accreditations, an international standard showing we meet specific requirements in various areas. These include Quality Management (9001), Environmental Management (14001), and Occupational Health and Safety (45001). Achieving these accreditations shows PSI Global’s commitment to delivering the high level of service our clients and candidates have come to expect.

Recently PSI Global became the first Agency Affiliate Member of Train the Painter, a world leader for their accredited Industrial Coating Applicator Training programme. Since then, our Industrial Services team have been working hard to build their own programme around this, bringing on board trainers to run our own sessions. This past month, we’ve completed our first practical session on-site, and our new Community Initiative in Rosyth has successfully seen our first group take part in employability workshops, an induction with our client Kaefer, a five-day Train the Painter course, and are now gaining valuable experience at their second site.
