June Updates from Our Managing Director

We’re now halfway through 2023 and it’s been a busy but very productive time at PSI Global, so I wanted to share a bit of what we’ve been up to in the last month.

Our Major Projects team is looking forward to the opening of the Preston Western Distributor Road project as it wraps up Monday morning, with clean ups continuing through August. At our busiest point we’ve had 50 workers out on-site, have provided essential training and upskilling over the course of the project, and regularly rewarded our workers for their hard work. We’re really pleased to have been a part of such an important project in the North West from start to finish, and the team have enjoyed seeing through a project of this scale. It’s been a great success and we would love to hear any feedback you have on it.

Coming up, members of our Major Projects team will be attending a stand down day on the A30, so stay tuned for some photos from that later next week. We also have a project coming up in Salisbury and are looking for 360 Excavator Operators, Groundworkers, Pipelayers, and Dumper/Roller Drivers. James Rose and Leanne Doyle are currently registering interest, so if you know anyone looking for work in the area please get in touch.

This year we’ve done more recruitment outside of the UK, with regular projects taking place in Ireland, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. We have more coming up in other locations across Europe, so make sure you’re following our company page and connect with our Construction and Engineering team for the latest.

Our Industrial Services team started the month with a new Team Leader (welcome back, Brendan Robinson) and continues to work on key projects in Rosyth, Wallsend, Plymouth, and Portsmouth. Supporting our workforce’s mental health has also continued to be an important initiative, with information now being displayed on-site and in booking confirmations so our workers know where they can turn should they need additional support. Industrial Services and Marine Director Rebecca Law has recently met with mental health champions at the Huyton Job Centre to continue the conversation and discuss what more we can do.

Finally, I was pleased to see that PSI Global has been shortlisted at the Recruiter Awards for Best Temporary Recruitment Agency. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication from our team members throughout the last year, and we’re all looking forward to the event in September.
